Poole and Kent Company of Florida

Founded in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1947 by Robert R. Poole and E. Robert Kent, Poole and Kent Corporation began as a provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services to the local community. Just two years after its establishment, the company expanded its scope to incorporate plumbing, becoming a full-service mechanical contractor. With increasing success, Poole and Kent officially incorporated in 1952 when annual revenues surpassed $2 million.

The firm further extended its reach in 1954 with the opening of an office in downtown Miami, marking its entrance into the burgeoning Florida market. Over the ensuing six decades, Poole and Kent transformed from a regional mechanical contractor into a leading specialty contractor throughout the state. Their contributions are evident in various landmark projects across South Florida, illustrating their commitment to excellence and community growth. To meet growing demands, Poole and Kent strategically expanded its presence by establishing additional locations in West Palm Beach, Tampa, Port Charlotte, and Fort Lauderdale, enabling them to deliver top-notch service to clients in these regions.
