Las Patronas

Members of Las Patronas typically serve a stretch of six to seven years, taking on two to three organizational posts annually to ensure the club’s fruitful continuation. Alongside their assigned roles, all members actively participate in the Grants Committee, carrying out biennial visits to each nonprofit applying for grants. Unitedly, they investigate, deliberate, and decide on the deserving recipients, allocating available funds judiciously.

Generosity blooms from Las Patronas’ year-round fundraising campaigns, climaxing in the annual Jewel Ball, a crowning jewel among San Diego’s beloved social, cultural, and charitable occasions. Money amassed during these festivities circulates within San Diego County, flowing into numerous small grass-root nonprofits and larger organizations. These fortunate few deliver essential services in fields such as health, schooling, social welfare, and cultural arts, brightening the county with their noble endeavors.
